Really cannot think of anything negative to say about this resort. It is a beautiful and unique stay and after multiple visits it is easily one of our top places to stay at Walt Disney World. Very nice rooms, multiple dining options and a nice pool as well. So many places to see animals around the resort and if you book a Savannah view room..you may just see them from your room as well. Love this place.Nearby activities: Have an area where kids can color, do crafts and watch Disney movies. Can do animal watching at night. Have pool side activities at certain times of the day
1. The staff is not particularly friendly, and customer service leaves much to be desired. They seem overworked and lack enthusiasm for their roles.
2. The food options are quite disappointing; everything on-site seems to contain sugar. I couldn't find any snacks or meals without added sugar, and even dishes like salads and soups were overly sweetened.
Personally, I wouldn't choose to return, even though I have fond memories of my time there. This is just my perspective, but I believe that places charging $500 a night could definitely improve their offerings.
Absolutely stunning! The place is immaculate, with beautiful interior design and spacious rooms. Each balcony offers breathtaking views of the wildlife—giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, ostriches, cranes, and many more. Disney consistently maintains its high quality, making it entirely worth the visit! The restaurants provide a diverse range of food options, and there are plenty of fun activities for kids. Overall, it was yet another fantastic and unforgettable vacation with Disney!

This is an amazing place to stay! Both kids and adults enjoy watching the various animals that come close to the Savannah view rooms. The two pools offer animal overlooks, and there are seating areas where you can sit among the animals. While the Disney Park buses may take a bit longer to reach the parks compared to some other Disney hotels, there are only two stops, which means less time spent driving around the resort after a long day at the parks.
I had a wonderful lunch at the Mara quick service restaurant by the pool. The lobby is still stunning, clean, and pleasantly dark and cool. I enjoyed exploring the area, taking advantage of the complimentary activities like visiting the gift shop and watching the animals. The bus arrived 10 minutes early, which was a nice surprise. Disney's deluxe resorts truly offer excellent quality and value. It’s worth every penny!
We had stayed here years ago but this was our first trip with a younger child. We all loved the resort, even with the lowest room level, we still had great views of animals. The food on site is wonderful. The pool's water slide was one of the best rides during our stay in our kid's mind. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs as a break as well. The animal viewing makes the visit in the morning and night.
Rooms: Impeccably clean and very Disney-themed.
Nearby activities: There are plenty of fun options for kids and families. The pool is both refreshing and well-maintained.
Safety: Very secure and safe environment.
Walkability: Easy to walk around the property.
Food and drinks: The on-site dining options are excellent!

The views of the animals each morning were fantastic, and the staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. My only minor complaint is that getting to your room can be quite a walk if you're on the outskirts; it takes about 4-5 minutes just to reach the lobby. However, I think the stunning views make it well worth it!
The filet mignon and Kushari were fantastic. It's definitely worth a visit, even if you're not staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
