The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I arrived about an hour before closing with food from a nearby restaurant, and they welcomed me to eat at their café. The nitro cold brew was fantastic (I highly recommend adding chocolate if you enjoy dark chocolate flavor), but the Mexican mocha truly stole the show for me. It had a wonderful balance of chocolate, cinnamon, and creaminess. I will definitely return for it. The empanadas weren’t the best, but I understand that was likely because I came later in the day when they weren’t as fresh. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place!
The food is excellent as well, featuring delicious options like croissants, burritos, and, especially, empanadas. I've never seen empanadas served at a breakfast spot in the area before! The beef, chicken, ham, and cheese varieties are quite popular, and they keep them in an oven to ensure they're hot and crispy. The staff is incredibly friendly. When I accidentally spilled my drink, they quickly offered to clean it up and even made me a new one! Don't miss the summer special, the Ube Cream Cold Brew—it's amazing!
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The coffee was excellent, the atmosphere was incredibly inviting, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the orange ginger cold brew, which was shaken with cream; it was the perfect level of sweetness and I absolutely loved it! My wife tried the vanilla hazelnut latte, and it was delicious, almost reminiscent of the taste of milk after finishing a bowl of cereal. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
I enjoyed the oat milk cappuccino, which had a rich and smooth flavor. The service was friendly, and the savory scone was delightful with its lovely tomato taste. The beef empanada featured a deep caramelized onion flavor and a satisfying crunch in the crust. I was curious about how this coffee shop earned such a high Google rating. They serve an outstanding espresso, and the team running the place is among the coolest coffee enthusiasts in San Diego. It’s a delight to discuss coffee and enjoy espresso with them. Even if you don’t live close by, it’s definitely worth the drive to visit this spot. It’s easily one of the best coffee shops in California.
As a small consolation, I decided to try the orange ginger cold brew. It was sweet and quite delicious, reminiscent of a chocolate orange, though it lacked any noticeable ginger flavor. I might consider giving them another shot for the beans since the roaster has a great reputation, but my first experience didn't pan out.
