Their brisket is by far the best in the area. We are from Texas so it is common to find brisket back home but not so common here in Alabama but typically it is not cooked right. We come here just about weekly and I haven't had a bad brisket yet. We do prefer the marbled because it has a ton of more flavor. My husband gets a half a chicken chopped and it is juicy and tasty. I have been known to steal a piece or two. We also usually get a small salad with our meal and it is super fresh and we enjoy the toppings they put on it just makes a drab salad yummy. I gave a rating of 1 because, while the meal was fantastic, the service was very disappointing. The woman who delivered our food was rude. I inquired about the biscuits, and she told me they were $6.99 each if I wanted any. Eventually, after I mentioned it, she brought us one biscuit each, but she just tossed them on the table and walked away. I certainly won't be returning to the Alabaster location. It was my husband's first visit, and the experience was terrible, despite the brisket sandwich being excellent.
JimnNick’s manager, John went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our food this evening. We eat there at least once a week and most weeks twice. My husband loves the Classic Pulled Pork Dinner and the side dishes. And we always order extra cheese biscuits. It’s our favorite restaurant in Alabaster. Having a manager that truly cares about the customer consistently receiving a quality meal is paramount. I hope the company knows they have a rock star for a manager!
The comfort food was fine, I was next day able to enjoy the pork pulled brisket sandwich mac-n-cheese. But the collard greens were terrible, as if it was sea weed soaked in salt. I couldn't get the after taste out of my mouth for 24 hrs. Worse than an onion, so salty my tongue lost sense of anything. Spinach or brocolli are 10 times better. Even sardines might be better.

I guess owner profit is paramount t over service and employee retention. This is now an order first, get doo whenever, and tip 20% kinda place. Boycott this nonsense and get the proprietor to pay an extra $5 an hour for two competent servers. Shame on the greed. Used to love him n nicks. Good Greek guys. Now forget em- at the beach, here, Hoover, wherever.

Visited 07/17 around 7:30 pm. Wife got a BBQ Salad, I had BBQ Chicken, baked beans and corn on the cob. Outstanding service and food. Restaurant very clean and staffed by people that care. I’ll be back, Thanks to the staff on duty that evening!
The food was presented on a large tray with a paper placemat, which caused the food to stick and resulted in bits of paper ending up in our BBQ. Additionally, the portions were quite small for the $50 we paid for two people!

The brisket and cheese biscuits here are consistently amazing. I’ve never had a bad meal at this place. Just a heads up, Katie was incredibly friendly!
