We just tried this place for the first time. It was great! The server was so informed about the menu and preparation of the dishes. We ordered the appetizer combo platter and all the ingredients were fresh and to flavorful I normally don't like falafal but theirs was light, fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The chicken kebab was perfectly marinated and moist. Overall great meal, the only thing missing was a glass of wine, unfortunately they don't serve beer or wine. Definitely recommend this place!! We didn't have room for dessert, but they had at least 4 different types of baklava and another 8-10 Turkish hand made candies that looked amazing!
I ordered the steak kabob with a salad, and one of the kabob sticks was extremely dry, with burnt onions and paprika. I couldn't even eat it. The other kabob was fine, but they should not have included the visibly subpar kabob on my plate. They also forgot to bring my hummus, and the salad dressing tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. Overall, the food did not have the authentic Armenian flavor I was expecting.
It took 40 minutes to receive my 3 meat combination, even though there was only one other family in the restaurant. The BBQ bark was delicious, but the gyro meat and chicken were disappointing. The flavorful bark was the only reason why I rated this place over 2 stars.
