John's Philly Grille (we Close Early If We Run Out Of Fresh Baked Bread)

I received bread with black spots that looked like early signs of mold. When I called the restaurant, they claimed that all their bread looked like that...??? I told them I'm a cook and I know what moldy bread looks like. They mentioned that Donna comes in on Tuesday, and since it was Saturday, I guess I was expected to keep this moldy bread for four days... Just a heads up: check the food and dressings, as they might already be spoiled. They don’t seem to check anything because they’re too busy putting everything together without any quality control. I won’t be eating here again; I’ve lost my appetite and don’t want to risk getting sick.

This is my go-to place whenever I crave a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. They are incredibly delicious and the portions are definitely generous. I always order the full-sized sandwich, and it disappears into my stomach in no time! The reason I gave three stars for the atmosphere is that there isn't much to rate. There's a small outdoor seating area, and you order and pick up your food at a window. I don’t mind it at all, though, because the sandwich is absolutely worth it!

I can't figure out why there's not a line wrapped around the block at this restaurant all day. Their sandwiches are the most delicious in Orange County! I tried the John's Special, and it was packed with flavor! The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, too. At first glance, the place may seem like a dive, but don’t let that put you off; it's all part of its charm! Food: 5/5

Really good cheesesteak sandwiches. We had the original and the mushroom. Both were excellent. Their half sizes are huge. They are generous with everything. Super friendly with great service. Good for a quick stop, greasy lunch or dinner. Outside seating only. Covered and comfortable. If you get the peppers, know that it makes the sandwich pretty spicy. Réservez une table maintenant

This place is great, my first time in. Had the 6-in works and half order of fries.. and it was some of the best I've had! This is one of those simple places that gets it right! Large portions.. I'll go back to for years! Staff actually speak to you, and kindly LOL. Cool spot!

This is a hole in the wall that never disappoints. Food is fantastic, I have had the Italian, Cheesteak and Turkey club and they are great. There really isn 't atmosphere here as it 's a walk up window to order and then a few tables under a porch. Flavor makes up for it!

Wow what a great find everyone there was so nice and the food was absolutely Delicious they did not skimp on the meat it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I recommend this place to anyone who loves steak fries and Philly. Omg yummmFood: 5/5

This is the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had in Southern California. I could write a lengthy review to highlight all the amazing things about it, but honestly, just go check it out yourself! It's fantastic! This spot is a gem in Huntington Beach! Réservez une table maintenant

The cheese steak wasn't made fresh like I expected. The reheated steak on the flat top was quite dry. It was a significant difference from my previous experience. Food rating: 2/5.
