I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday and they had a fantastic special on tacos and their signature bulldog drink. We ordered several tacos and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes despite it being Taco Tuesday. The tacos were all delicious and we also tried a variety of bulldog drinks, all of which were wonderful. We had a great experience at this restaurant, although the only thing that could have made it even better would have been some live music to enhance the atmosphere.
A group of 6 of us came in for drinks one evening. We were seated quickly at the back away from everyone else and ordered bulldogs.After 20 minutes and our drinks still hadn't came they explained that the ice machine was broken, which is why they hadn't brought the drinks yet, and then they arrived 2 minutes later.It would have been better if they had explained sooner, as we could've changed our orders. It took way too long to tell us that. We had one drink and left.
We decided to try Julio's on a whim and were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the portions were generous (a great bonus). We sampled the chicken and feta enchilada, the flautas, and the chicken tacos, all of which were excellent. They offer many dishes that are perfect for sharing with a large group, and the atmosphere and decor were very charming. The staff was extremely friendly. Overall, it's a really great place and I can't wait to go back!
Server was fantastic. Food was hot and huge portions. We started with the half order nachos with beef and guacamole. Needed an extra Salsa and guacamole, never enough of the good stuff. I also ordered the shrimp tacos. Only ate 1 lol I was full from the delicious nachos. My bf had the beef chimichanga said it was amazing. Daughter had the chicken fingers. Also looked good. Definitely been to long since enjoying a bulldog.

came here on Tuesday and they had a lot on tacos and the special bulldogge. we ordered a lot of tacos and we thought they could skip to a portion size as it was taco Tuesday, but no. they were very full and all were very delicious. we tried another bulldog (extreme to who they called) and they were also delicious. had a great time here. the only thing missing was maybe a live music to keep the mood really alive.
This place is always fun. I ordered the fish tacos and they were ok. I think there’s so much more that could have been done with them to make them more flavourful and unique. Our server was really nice and I have no complaints about her. I did, however, have to send 2 red water glasses back that had lipstick stains all over them. Please ensure someone is checking those before serving them to customers.
This Mexican restaurant in Edmonton is one of the best, located on Whyte Ave. I highly recommend giving them a try, although be prepared for a bit of a wait as it tends to get busy. The service may be affected by the crowds, but the food is definitely worth waiting for. Don't miss trying the fried Mexican ice cream for dessert, it's delicious. The chimichangas are also a must-try dish.
Nice decor, great beverage selection, but the food was disappointing. The veggie fajita was bland and the veggies were dominated by onions - red and green peppers were about 10% of the mix. The chicken tacos were underwhelming. Both dishes were bland and both entrees were left unfinished. I will not be returning.

I firmly believe this place is overpriced for ‘Mexican’ food. However it is good food. I recommend the tortilla soup which I believe is a good price for the soup quality and amount. The chihuahua bulldog is very vanilla-ish.
