Just Us! Wolfville Coffee House

We picked up two medium drip coffees to take up to the PG whilst our kids played in the giant snow pile. Big mistake.The roast was bitter and frankly, disgusting. After persevering for a number of sips, they both went straight in the garbage can . What a ripoff.So I went online to see what people were saying about this coop.Well and good as an aspirational goal but, sadly, a big miss on what one probably imagines should be their primary business goal: delivering excellent coffee (and in a timely manner).So if you stop by, take caution not to confuse best coffee shop in town ! and great atmosphere ! etc. for receiving a simple, decent coffee.Fine coffee? Try the Village Coffee shop in Canning...

The location is quite central. It is located inside an old theater ? so it has an interesting character too it. There is generally plenty of seating inside which makes it pretty easy to meet up with friends.The coffee is satisfactory, but there really isn't anything to snack on with your coffee. There is no biscotti biscuits and the items that they do make they were completely out of. It was about 4:30pm on Thursday afternoon, so I don't think they should have been out of everything.The staff were polite enough.The coffee beans are roasted at their roasterie just up the street.Parking: There isn't a lot of parking so come early so you have time to find some parking and walk over. Hailed as a bastion of coffee culture and expertise, it fails to meet me there. I believe in their mission to provide organic, fairtrade beans to the public on a large scale. But in my cup was dossapointment. I ordered a cortado. The way I would describe it was sour. I'm not sure if the milk was burnt or the shot suffered from channeling. In any case the typical hard-to-mess-up cortado was undrinkable. Our fritatas were delightful as was my partners straight espresso. The atmosphere is unique and rich, with an ecclectic mix of academics and earthy locals at the door of a celebrated antique theatre.

I love this place! Their drinks are amazing, the service is wonderful, and it's got such an nice, cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely the best coffee shop in Wolfville.Parking: The parking is rough, but hey, that's Wolfville for you.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible.Dietary restrictions: They have many varieties of milk, and often have some vegan baked goods for sale. Very cooperative and understanding of requests and dietary restrictions.

Really awful service. Waited 25 minutes for two oat milk lattes (the café was not busy at the time). Put the first drink from our order up without notifying us and didn’t prepare the second one. When we followed up, the barista clearly had forgotten or did not receive our order. At least 3 other groups had similar experiences. Completely disorganized. The coffee was okay at best once finally served.

The baristas are super nice, coffee and food are great! Not friendly. Kinda' drags the other elements of the shop down. I suppose you don't need to be even remotely friendly when you're one of the only joints in town. Rad.To clarify, I actually believed they were rude.

Walked in on a early Tuesday morning and ordered a tofu wrap and a peach muffin and both were delicious. The staff was friendly and cheerful!

Cozy little cafe which allows you to feel comfortable with a homey feeling. Drinks and food were very good.
