kalahari is definitiw in my favorite cafés and even if it's been here for several years, I think it's still one of the best secrets of willetton. the ambiente des ortes is super secret and the personal is always really beautiful. a nice place to take coffee or a bigger meal for brekky or lunch, I enjoyed everything I tried here, but can absolutely never look past the vetkoeks friend and I ordered the vetkoek burger and peri peri huhn vetkoek (both $14! the other day and the aromen are just so good, each time we have ordered the milkshake that was delicious super cold and the perfect consistency.
wow, it's great here. was here twice. I had the steak and salat (they pick up the steak from the refrigerator and they cook it for them) taste the monkey gland sauce lol it is not out of ape but a great diving sauce. friends are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Salad is beautiful with a beautiful dress. we had these with milkshakes * trust me the regular size is heaps my sons loved the vetkoek safe to try themnizza and clean place with the most tempting food. you biltong is the best! I want to be a regular hunt for us
This was a super little find this morning while the second born trained for baseball. The coffee was good, no doubt an African blend. The decor was themed (obviously African) and the crockery and table decorations were in character too. Our order was bought to us on a tray. What a great touch. Haven't seen anyone use a wooden tray with a tray mat for years! We only had coffee but the service was polite and quick. Makes me even more sure I want to visit Africa before I visit my maker.
Hard to find but boy... is it worthwhile. Cafe set inside a gourmet mini deli of sorts that also includes liquor sales (dine-in or take-away ! Have been a few times now. The coffee is excellent!! And the food is delicious. The bunny chow is a must try!! Delicious lamb curry in half (apparently it's a third! loaf of bread. I've never had anything like it before but i loved it!! Yum yum yum. Easy parking out the front.

came here for a quick coffee and cake in the afternoon. not the easiest place to find, but do not let the outside fool them, it was quite sinful and welcome on the inside. we ordered a rooibos cappucino and melt tart. the cap was delicious with a touch of honey glaze. the tar was also satisfying, while not excessively sweet. would certainly recommend the cappucino, and since it African, why not rooibos!
So nice to have another relatively good cafe that's close to home! This hidden gem is great for a brunch or coffee, with spacious seating and quirky African interior design. My coffee was one of the smoothest I've had in a while. Keen to try one of their rooibos drinks and the Peri peri chicken vetkoek (traditional South African fried bread next time I'll definitely be going back :
GOOD IDEA, GREAT SPOT.. I have been meeting friends here (Willetton for a cuppa for quite some time now and today decided to have breakfast. Whilst I only ordered poached eggs on toast, the atmosphere adds to the experience... I LOVE having my tea in a real cup, what a lovely, homely place. Keep up the great service and perhaps I'll be more adventurous next time. :
What a great shop!!! The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are great fun! The I AM FORM AFRICA board does make me a little nostalgic I must admit! Eating some delicious South African food with a good coffee is a great spot to catch up with friend. PLUS the biltong is amazing, I never leave without a bit for the trip home. Highly recommend!

Came here today with a bunch of friends and it was packed! Loved the atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the traditional vetkoek with the beer batter chips and it was delicious. The beer batter chips were nice and crispy and the vetkoek was full of flavour. The meal was very filling and would definitely suggest you tying!
great ambiente and little space in a corner fucked away. loved the hate chow and hot dog was big and extremely tasteful. very authentic South African food. variety in the small convenience shop was also good! and good spreading South African weine!
