I visited this place back in the mid-'90s. I selected a song on the jukebox that I had never heard before, and the pub owner mentioned that he played the drums on that record! He also advised us, in Norwegian, to drink our whisky neat, without ice, so we did—and I still enjoy it that way. I hope to return this year!
One of Gourock's many gems. This pub sits close to transport links and offers a cosy setting which is great for couples and small medium sized groups. Staff are great and I'm sure if you choose the Kempock as part of your crawl, you'll have a great time.
What a fantastic little bar! The locals and Jim, one of the bartenders, are incredibly friendly. The jukebox is also excellent. I found myself fully immersed in the atmosphere at 3 PM and ended up staying nearly until closing time!
A lovely and friendly pub. The owner was welcoming, and the locals were friendly. They were kind as well. The drink selection is limited, but everything is quite enjoyable. Réservez une table maintenant
Only went in for one due to the Dunoon ferry messing up... but the regulars were friendly, the pint was cheap and there was live music not many better ways to kill 40mins!
Bogof.....on ice cubes only great wee pub more bar staff than ermmmmmmm.... kebabs
