So, another place close to our house that we've managed to ignore for years, but we're glad we finally went and will definitely return. The restaurant has a very cozy up north lodge feel to it. The bar area is very big, and the dining room nearby was separate enough to bring the noise level way down. There is also a very large deck for outside dining and views of the golf course. The menu ranges from sports bar to fine comfort dining, and prices are very reasonable. Drinks are also reasonable priced and were well made. Wine selection is pretty basic, but good. The food was good. Only complaint was that the huge onion rings were bland (breading and the onions). My wife enjoyed her French Dip. I had the St. Louis Style Spareribs and asked for the sauce on the side. Seasoning was good, with a nice little kick. Meat was a little overdone, but we were there towards the end of the day so the ribs had probably been prepared much earlier. They smoke and roast right in the open kitchen, which was fun to watch. You can also see that the kitchen is very clean and organized. Looking forward to going back next Summer to sit on the deck, but will likely go in the Winter too as it is a warm and cozy setting.
