Romantic, beautiful and completely refurbished hotel in old buildings in the beautiful town of Deidesheim in the Bad Dürkheim-district in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz. Just south west of the old town of Koblenz and close to Germanys oldest present city, the old Roman city of Trier. Also just south of the Rhine and Mosel valleys. Beautiful surroundings and the best wine area of all of Germany. There are dozens of Michelin and Bib Gourmand rated restaurant per kilometer in the area. Charming, friendly and comfortable. I was traveling through Germany on business and was tired from a long day. The Ketschauer Hof was a balm to ease my tired body. Unfortunately I only had one night there and was not able to try the restaurant however I hope to return soon. The room was a nice blend of elegance and glamour and it had tea making facilities! In my experience this is rare in Germany so immediately made me feel at home. Deidesheim is in the Pfalz wine region do there are lots of related activities. It is pretty and interesting and I’d happily spend more time here.
Very good impression! Mostly impressed by the Wi-Fi internet speed: 192 Mbit/s..! And free and unlimited! Never ever I have observed such a lightning quick Internet connection! Other than that the hotel is good: Modern rooms, contemporary decorated, especially bathrooms. Maybe slightly overpriced.. Breakfast is a la carte, which I prefer, not the open buffet (as usually the case with many hotels).. Parking is free of charge, on the (public) parking lot some 50 meters away from the hotel. No swimming pool though.. Still, overall 5 stars.
We were at the Ketschauer Hof for a Christmas party years ago. When I was spontaneously looking for a restaurant for my husband and me on Saturday evening, the app was very helpful. Here the free tables for the evening were indicated. The visit to the Ketschauer Hof exceeded my expectations for the evening
