As someone who enjoys all types of Asian cuisine, I've tried many restaurants, and while some may not be the best, they are usually at least edible. However, my recent delivery from Kiku Japanese Steakhouse was truly inedible. The food was the most unappetizing I've ever experienced. The shrimp tasted like it had been frozen for two years and was freezer burned. The rice was unpleasant, and while the noodles had the right texture, they were overshadowed by a strange burnt taste. WOW! I live in Orlando and travel to Tavares 2-3 times monthly for work. I consider myself a sushi aficionado so I am always looking for a good place, which is often hard to find, especially with sushi. I can say without reservation that KIKU is incredible. When I walked in, Lisa made me feel right at home as I asked to be seated at the sushi bar. I wanted a couple rolls modified and she said no problem! Michael the sushi chef spoke with me personally, made suggestions and said don 't worry, I will take care of you .. Let me say, he sure did! Great sushi!! Great service!! Great personal touch!! The DoorDash delivery person was excellent. We've been patrons of this restaurant for a long time, and the food has always been great. Unfortunately, this time it was disappointing. The bottom of the noodle container was burnt, causing the noodles to spill on my floor, and the chicken wasn't fully cooked. We will no longer order from Kiku again.

I ordered Tempura Chicken (6 Pc) and Kiku Roll and expected actual tempura. what I got is chicken and a roll that are panko breaded and fried. I was really craving tempura, not panko. Im left disappointed with these 2 dishes but everything else is great as usual.
The chef was quite entertaining. The seafood was perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths. The rice and noodles were delicious without being overwhelmed by white sauce. This has become our go-to hibachi spot; it surpasses all the other places we've tried.
No issues! sushi was so pretty. The egg roll tasted a little weird (fishy) but I ate the whole thing anyways. I didnt know what the sashimi was I was eating but it was good! The crazy tuna roll and pan fried gyoza were definitely the highlight.
Consistently excellent dining experience. If you go home hungry, that's on you. Outstanding service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Once again, it's essential to support local eateries.

Excellent service and delicious food, with generous portions that left me with enough for a second meal. This is the best Japanese restaurant in central Florida.
It was truly delicious and had the perfect crunch! It honestly made me want to try everything on the menu. Hats off to the chefs!
