Kip Chippy - Réservation de table

I had a bad experience the first time, but decided to give this place another chance. Unfortunately, it was even worse. The chips were double-cooked and left a greasy residue in my mouth, which suggests they don't clean their oil regularly. I won't be returning; this isn't a good fish and chip shop at all. I also ordered a hamburger supper, and none of the batter was crispy. My advice? Change the oil daily and stop double-cooking the chips. It was really disappointing.

I arrived at the restaurant to find a bit of a queue, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. While waiting, I observed some concerning behaviors: the staff was lifting food from the warmer with their hands instead of using tongs. The girl also adjusted her hair several times, and the boy wiped his hands on his t-shirt while handling money. I won't be returning unless the food hygiene standards improve. It seems like the staff could benefit from better training.

Just received a box of slop from this chippy. Usually we go to Gourock for our tea but decided to order from somewhere different. When opened the box half the fish was stuck to the lid. It was soggy to the point of disgusting and the stuff stuck to the lid our dog got. This is a photo of the remainder which was then binned. What's going on guys? Poor poor meal Meal type: Dinner

You know that raw potato taste when chips aren't cooked? Yeah, that's what I had here. Come on... ALL the big chips weren't cooked properly! And there's a rank fishy taste on them. I'm only in the area occasionally for work. I'll get a sandwich from Sainsburys next time. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Réservez une table maintenant

The food was excellent, especially the fish. My only suggestion would be to use stainless steel utensils for serving instead of fingers, as it's a basic food hygiene requirement. Other than that, it’s a fantastic fish and chip shop! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely hot food delivered to our caravan at wemyss bay, friendly staff on the phone and delivery driver was very polite and pleasant also, will be ordering again Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
