This matched one of our best meals ever. From the amuse bouche to the final dessert all seven courses and the extras where exceptional! We were surprised and stunned at every course and think the restaurant deserves a second star! Some of the stand outs were the honeycomb cooked trout, the squash with crispy courgette leaves, the essence of tomato … none of my descriptions come anywhere close to doing the different courses justice. We also went with the wine pairing which was excellent and the sommelier so informative and approachable. Amin our server was wonderful, describing each dish with enthusiasm and a smile. Great 3 course lunch menu, food was delicious and worth every penny from starters to the main dish (best lamb we ever had to desserts. Drinks a bit on the pricy side (especially water! . Pity the sommelier didn’t have a single word outside transactional exchanges: we had the castle’s wine (white, rose, and red and while it was very good we would have loved to learn a bit more about it. Aside from this it was a great experience, but at this level and with this ambition, service must be above normal and that includes taking care of all customers.
You know you are heading for something special when the drive to the restaurant is about 5km from the main road. The 3 course two choices lunch is. Exceptional value and incredible. From the super attentive service, to the exceptional quality of food this is one special place
