Had heard about this coastal shack from a friend who knows the isle well, her recommendation reinforced by TripAdvisor reviews. Stopped on long bike ride for late lunchtime refuelling with just oysters (and glass of Pineau Blanc to revive my spirits after heavy rain shower left me soaked!).Perfect fresh oysters served simply and quickly, I selected No 1, the largest. I love this kind of place: friendly, informal, and only interested in serving fresh, pure, high quality produce with minimal preparation.'Shack' is perhaps a tad unfair; clean and modern finish to inside, though basic in design. Shame more isn't made of the view of the productive mudflats along the coast; only a smallish window...

Cabanajam is located on the cycle path just outside St Martin and is a great place to try all the local specialities. It seems to be much more reasonably priced than many of the other restaurants in the area, especially those on the port. The plate of pink prawns and the moules marinieres are both good value at €9. The mixed seafood platters are great to share and start at €17. As to be expected from a cafe at the oyster farm, it is a bit rough around the edges so don't expect finely prepared dishes but the food is as fresh as it gets and the drinks are local and just as reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Must visit for fresh seafood by the seaside! Especially good in a large group (we were 30) since ample seating, fast service and casual holiday setting. Ideally walk along the seaside to / from there e.g. from LaFlotte so enjoy it even more!

Wow! What fantastic food - amazing, no frills restaurant. Oysters were delicious and the owners were super friendly, despite being French ;-)
