To Clarify up front, I almost never give 1 or 5 stars as that means the place is exceptionally bad or good. I just updated this La Fonda to Five Stars because their service is amazing and very friendly. They deserve your business. I am so glad I rediscovered La Fonda! My family would bring me here back in the late 1970s and in many ways it still looks the same. I have been searching for a place to go that my ex doesn 't know or go ; My waitress the day was absolutely amazing and accommodating for my vegetarian needs saving me from the customary smothering of Pork, Green Chile. I went to La Fonda with a date on 10/04/22. We ordered combo Fajitas and a chili relleno ala carte. I requested corn tortillas with the fajitas and we received flour tortillas. No big deal but I did request corn. The waitperson brought them and then charged extra on our bill. Also, don't order a drink here they are outrageously priced, $10.50 for a Tito's and soda. WTF! The fajitas themselves were just okay. Not all the veggies were completely cooked and even though the price was not crazy this restaurant must think customers like to pay for a heap of veggies with perhaps 6 ounces of meat between the chicken, beef and shrimp. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, and there's a lot of positives to start with Large portions Good prices (especially considering the portion sizes such as the large nachos) Easy order and pick up service We did run into a couple downsides tho: We requested utensils and napkins but didn't get them (or notice) til we got back. And we were stuck in a hotel with no access to forks anywhere and we kinda had to McGyver eating our food The breakfast burrito was huge and glorious, but was very overpacked with large potato chunks which made it less satisfying and kind of a trick to eat cause it broke apart easily. Would much prefer a smaller burritos that wasn't so potato heavy

Came in for dinner tonight and was seated near restrooms. Staff cleaned bathroom while people still in the dining area. She must have used full strength lavender fabuloso because it hit the air fast and stayed there our whole meal. It's been two hours since we left and I can still taste fabuloso in my mouth. Couldn't enjoy our food because that strong scent interfered with our ability to enjoy the meal. Maybe clean restrooms when you are closing and everyone's left? I can't tell you if the food was good or not. Waitstaff was friendly and pleasant which is a bonus but hide the fabuloso!!! Réservez une table maintenant

THIS was AMAZINGLY FRESH and it was chock full of CILANTRO, #12 Combo (Sour Cream Enchilada, Tamale, Chile Relleño with sauces on the side), side of Guacamole, white corn tortillas house margarita. Service great, as well. Prompt, kind and attentive. All Great!

Good service. The food is not spectacular and it's pretty typical Mexican fare, but it is tasty and the portions are God. Did I say the service was great? Sometimes that makes up for shortcomings in the food. It was great service.

Good burrito. My only complaint is you need to give a bigger container of salsa for to go orders. They give a large bag of chips and a half cup of salsa. It's barely anything.

Ordered a soup to go, when I got home there was a giant fly in the soup. for many people maybe this is normal like when you find a hair, but for me it's disgusting. Réservez une table maintenant

Horrible service, our waitress seemed to have an attitude! Food was okay , was very upset with how my dinner went.
