One accommodation that's nice is the ability to place an order via telephone before your actual arrival. Once you step inside, you find your order plated and ready to eat so no valuable (and much needed) lunch time is wasted. The lunch specials are fair, ranging between $6.50 to $10.00 a plate. Only once was it full, but there is plenty of street parking available. Second: the place is authentic Mexican. Located on state 503 in Hackensack La Fontera is a small resturant [about 10 tables, good for small-intermediate sized groups] with a small private lot for parking [7-8 cars]. The interior is well appointed, casual and friendly atmosphere. The staff is bilingual and friendly as well. The food here is authentic and tasty Tex-Mex. Worst waitress. Came for cindo de mayo the place is super small but there was a table available so we took it. That should of told me to leave the fact that u had a table available but I stayed. Before I go any further with this review YOU HAVE TO ORDER THE CHURROS! They are absolutely amazing and filled with a vanilla cream OMG! Went for Weekday Lunch Special Food 5/5. Tortilla chips were crispy and the salsa had a refreshing flavor with just a hint of spice. Burrito was rich and full of finely diced steak. I enjoyed the drizzle of sour cream, cheese and salsa on top as it added a nice creaminess to each bite. Beans were tender and the rice was fluffy and well seasoned. Service 4/5. Quick and friendly.
