La Mama - Réservation de table

Our first day in Sables d'Or; the children in the group were hungry (before 7.00pm), the group was large (10 people) but this restaurant was open, empty & the children love pizza. The food & drinks came quickly & the pizzas were a delight (see picture). Very thin crust obviously very quickly cooked in a very hot oven, great choices. But there were other items on the menu, including pasta & meat. Two of our group couldn't finish the pizza (which did hang over the plate in all directions!) so took a doggy bag & enjoyed the rest for lunch the following day. Bel espace de restaurant propre et spacieux mais c'était le seul bon point. Beaucoup de personnel dans un restaurant pas plein mais des verres ébréchés échangés pour des verres tachés de rouge à lèvres. Attendu longtemps pour la nourriture. Les tables arrivées après nous ont été servies 20 minutes avant nous, pourquoi ? La pizza est arrivée brûlée sur les bords et nageant dans l'huile, tellement que vous ne pouviez pas prendre la pizza et la manger car elle était molle au milieu. Demandé l'addition et encore une attente. Je ne retournerai pas.

Ça a l'air bien de l'extérieur. Avec 5 serveurs et 8 clients, on s'est dit qu'on allait essayer... Mauvaise idée. Des verres sales et ébréchés sur la table, on a commandé une pizza et on a dû attendre presque une heure. Quand elle est arrivée, elle était brûlée et nageait dans la graisse. Plus jamais, on peut avoir de meilleures pizzas à la camionnette locale.

We were served quickly and very pleasantly. Salad for starter was particularly good. Also I was worried the house Rose might be too sweet but it was perfectly fine and good value given I was having it by the glass. We were too full for desert, but they looked good. Réservez une table maintenant

Ate here one lunchtime at the end of August. Chosen because our young (10 & 12) boys really fancied spag bol. They were happy with the food, I wasn't impressed with my pasta though - or my wife with her rather strange chicken dish.

We ate here once, only 4 tables taken, we had a chicken dish, (chicken cooked in tomato/red pepper sauce covered with cheese, with pasta) although the Pizza's did look nice, Reasonably priced.

Popular place so definitely book first. Saw lots of people turned away on the night we went. Nice food, resonably priced but not as good as the other pizziaria in Sables.

Quite decent food with large choice of pizza. For a restaurant in france i was amazed of the moderate quality of the red wine, it tasted like some water was added. Réservez une table maintenant

Sat outside on a balmy night. Service a little slow but everything was cooked beautifully and what was the rush? Excellent carpaccio and pizzas.

Nous venons ici depuis des années et ce merveilleux restaurant ne cesse de nous satisfaire.
