La Mamma is tiny so booking is definitely recommended. I called in on Saturday afternoon to book a table for that evening. A wise choice! This place has the best pizzas we've eaten in a long time; washed down with a reasonably-priced Ribera del Duero it was a great way to spend an evening. The people who run La Mamma are friendly and attentive. One word of warning; the portions here are seriously large, so if there are two of you I'd recommend that you share a starter if you have any ambitions of eating an entire pizza afterwards. We dine there with children twice during our 4day getaway. the ratio quality price unbeatable. great pasta and very good pizza made in the wood oven. even a Sunday night when missing ingredients the chef offered us an improvised alternative for the kids to be satisfied. the close and familiar attention of the owner, the other waiters are very friendly and attentive at all times. They don't have gas-free soda, but they don't put glues to get you for kids. If we go back to the area, we'll definitely repeat.
