As soon as we walked in, we didn't receive any sort of greeting. Instead, the staff—especially the women and young girls working there—were loudly chatting and laughing among themselves, completely ignoring us. It's worth noting that we were the ONLY customers at that time. The girls and the older woman at the register kept giving us sidelong glances, which was both baffling and unwelcoming. We hadn’t done anything to provoke that treatment, so we couldn't understand why they were behaving this way.

I've visited several locations of this ice cream chain, including the one in Woodbridge and multiple in Illinois, and I've always loved the wide selection of high-quality, flavorful ice creams, generous scoops, and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, this particular location fell short of my expectations. The variety of flavors available was limited compared to what I've experienced elsewhere. I ordered my two favorite flavors, rum raisin and angel cream, just like I have at other locations, but they lacked the same depth of flavor. The ice cream selection at La Neveria Michoacana is impressive, offering some unique and exotic flavors. I tried the kiwi ice cream for the first time, and it was amazing—those two scoops were among the best I’ve ever had, as if I were eating fresh kiwi! I highly recommend giving it a try.
I also enjoyed a mixed fruit horchata, which was delicious. It was packed with fruit chunks, though the straw was a bit too narrow for all the fruit. I ended up removing the lid to scoop out the fruit at the bottom—absolutely tasty!

The ice cream shop has fantastic flavors, but the staff could use some customer service training. When we asked to sample some ice cream, the older lady was quite dismissive. I noticed she and a younger employee were laughing about it, which was puzzling. If they want to improve the experience, they definitely need to work on their approach to customers.
The restaurant uses outdated products and doesn't seem to care about food safety. I ended up with diarrhea for two days after eating their ice cream, and if I had been older, it could have been much more serious. When the ice cream tub is nearly empty, it's a sign that the ice cream is likely expired. I will never return to this place.
The ice cream here is amazing! The prices are great, too. They offer unique flavors that you won't find in most places. Unlike many larger chain brands, they really load their ice cream with plenty of chunks and fillings. It's incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor.
Oh, this Mexican ice cream shop is a dream come true for anyone craving those Latin flavors in their pops, paletas, and all the delicious sweet-spicy treats from our culture. I highly recommend the Mangoneada! You'll definitely find yourself coming back for more.
