in the mind of the celebration the server was clearly looking for a bigger tipp? it was just me and my friend to eat. the server took it on itself, provided we needed all family style (instead of maybe just wondering how a good restaurant would have it?s a server do). we ordered 2 apps and 2 entrees, again there were 2 of us, so that makes sense right? Did?t fully realize until escape came and a pasta cellar that could? ve served 6 people coming out. and then another! I have no problem to pay for the food I ordered, but it's just a very shady thing to do. and eating was easy in order, the best was my Caesar salad. manager and server never came by to check out how eating was if she might have...
It's hard for me to go out for Italian food because I grew up in an Italian family. Usually the sauce isn't as good as home, and it's usually overly salty. I've gotta say I was incredibly satisfied with La Parma's output. The food is served family style which I didn't care for but as long as the group you're with is cooperative it should work out ok. The portions are properly sized for large families. The food was seasoned perfectly and wasn't too salty at all. The staff was very nice and helpful and attentive to the table as well. The drinks at the bar were nice and strong.
First time I went to la parma ordered out it was great i will be back. Ordered linguini with red clam sauce and linguini with white clam sauce. Price was comparable to other restaurants in area but much more food and better. Those 2 trays were $18 each. They weren't afraid to put clams and garlic in.
I love this place.. great food.. family style ratting.. have been here many times. Was there today for a private party and it was really good plenty of food spread out on the tables.. the apps were the best. I suggest the calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Definitely a must go
Excellent food, huge family style portions. But this is a dining experience. Don't expect to eat quickly. It's always crowded and busy. Waiters are nice and bust their hump working. A reservation is almost always a must. My martini was a little watered down but nice size.
