La Salle a Manger - Réserver une table

My OH wanted to have a meal based on classic French cuisine. However, as I am vegan , this proved difficult. We asked the proprietor of it was possible to have a vegetarian meal (didn't think vegan would be a goer!) and without missing a beat, a lovely meat free meal was produced. They adapted the "amuse bouche for me," and I had deep fried , stuffed. Ourgette flowrs as a started, followed by a beatifully presented vegetable based dish. So much great fresh produce in this area. I was very impressed! My husband loved his food too and the restaurant itself was busy, always a good sign! I didn't find it easy to get meat free meals in the area,so this was a real find.

The interior of this small restaurant is a gem. Cosy, discrete and full of charm.A good menu and popular, so for weekends, it's best to book. The Dutch patron prides himself on his steak/beef which he makes sure is well hung to ensure that it is tender. Good selection of wines too.

Excellent service, good choice of local wines and good food. In the late spring and summer, the courtyard is a pleasant place to dine. The restaurant is owned & operated by a delightful Dutch couple.

We had a great dinner for 4 on our last night of the holiday. The food was great from the truffle potatoes, calves liver, great beef filet and a great tart tatin. A great evening out.

We had a great lunch Foi Gras and Sushi to start and we shared a fruit de mere plate, great. Good food and great hosts.
