Like most memorable experiences, I discovered this restaurant quite by chance. I was in the area on business and wanted a covenient spot for an early dinner before heading home. This was just around the corner from the intriguingly named Frying Pan Alley in Spitalfields. I must have been the first guest that evening as the place was still very quiet. What a great choice for lunch! Good food in a pleasant ambience combined with very friendly service. Our meal started with a generous helping of focaccia and crisp bead with olives and oil/balsamic. Mains were all delicious and generous in portion size. I enjoyed the tagliatelle with prawns and mussels in a lobster bisque sauce, my daughter raved over her tagliata of tuna with a fresh acidic salad and my wife's grilled chicken with mozzarella was equally good. Held our Xmas night out in this establishment last week. Have to say on arrival the place was very quiet despite all the other restaurants nearby being full ?? Always a bit worrying !! I arrived early and the welcome was not the most friendly . There was also a slight smell of what could only be described as foul drains !! Rest of my party arrived and after a few drinks the smell seemed to settle or we forgot about it . We ordered our meals and I have to say the food was really rather good . We had a lovely meal last night. We’d been a couple of times before. We were given the dessert menu and then were asked if we wanted to order. We asked for 10 minutes- waiter said we needed to order right away as the kitchen was closing! This was at 9pm on a Saturday night! The other waiter and waitress were fine. Also this guy came over with the card machine. After paying he immediately got our coats and plonked them on the nearby table. Really keen for us to leave!! Not much Christmas spirit from him!

We recently spent a wonderful evening at this lovely restaurant and couldn't recommend it enough. The ambiance was relaxed and warm, with the service attentive throughout. Every course was a delight: from the pear with walnut starter, through the crab main, to the tiramisu desert, it was just exceptional cuisine. If you want a New Year's resolution to enjoy, promise yourself a visit to La Tagliata.
Went here as a party of six for a celebration, the sub-divided little themed rooms make for almost a private dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive and serious with respect to allerigies and intollerances, they also provided a little cake having overheard us talking about a birthday! Food excellent, good wine too. What's not to love, highly recommended.
Had a lovely evening with a friend, first time we’d been here. Nice layout, good atmosphere and friendly, attentive waiters, weren’t rushed. Food was delicious shared some rosemary focaccia for starter and delicious chocolate tarte for dessert. Both had a pasta dish for main, and really happy good portion size, delicious food. A good find!
