La Taverne Alsacienne

We have been here before and therefore choose this restaurant again. We will never go there again! We got our wine but no water as we ordered and our son did not get his juice. When we ordered another juice they simply forgot to bring it. Other customers left because they did not get any service. We paid 90 EUR for a meal for 3 persons too expensive!

As their name clearly indicates this restaurant on the main walking street of Riquewihr specializes in local, alsatian cuisine and you won’t be disappointed trying their tarte flambee. Local wines are also offered in a large variety but do specify if you want dry or sweet options. And your life will be easier ordering if you speak some French.

Family of four received good and friendly attention. Menu worked well for us, with local specialties. Had vegetarian options not the only local place to have an option, but here there was a choice. Food was delivered in good time and was great.

Nice place for lunch. Tarte flambé with mirabele is superb. Good roesti with cheese and mushrooms. Good and fast service.

Fantastic food, and friendly, efficient service in a central spot in the old town. Very reasonably priced too.
