I have visited this restaurant multiple times because I enjoy supporting local businesses, and I am happy to report that the food was delicious as always. However, the service was lacking during this visit. It was a busy Saturday night, but the young male waiter overseeing our table was not very attentive. Whenever I asked him questions, he would say he would find out but never came back with an answer, so I had to ask someone else. I understand that he may have been new and not expected to know everything, but I would have appreciated him finding out and returning to us. I have often been in this restaurant as I like to support local businesses and I am very happy to say that eating was delicious as always. Unfortunately at this visit the service was not great, it was a busy Saturday night, but the young male waiter who looked at us was not very attentive to time that I asked he said he would find out and never came with an answer, so someone else had to put. I suppose he was new and didn't expect him to know everything, but he would expect him to find out and come back to us. all in all still love the restaurant and will only come back a scandal, this visit was the usual standards service wise
The owner of the restaurant is friendly, which is probably the only positive aspect of this establishment. Unfortunately, the food is extremely disappointing. My pasta was undercooked and hard, and the sauce was oily and not at all like a traditional carbonara. When we complained, the woman with blonde hair was rude and seemed to not believe us at first. Eventually, she apologized after realizing the mistake. I will never return to this restaurant. For a good Italian meal in North West Leicestershire, I recommend Zimani's in Ashby de la Zouch. It is the best Italian food you will ever taste.

Been here quite a few times, food, service and atmosphere is always fantastic. Last night seemed to be absolutely phenomenal, my awkward boyfriend (who is a fussy ex chef himself) ordered his fillet steak blue and said FOR ONCE it was cooked to absolute perfection as was every other persons meal of the table of 6. And the owners and staff are just lovely! Highly recommended.
