We have walked past the place many times before and also heard good things, so finally checked it out for the first time on a busy Friday night. There's tables and bar seating out the front. When I lived in Adelaide, the highlight of a Topham Mall visit was getting stuck in the UPark lift. Now there’s bagels, flowers, Asian fusion yuminess in the form of Kang Kong and this cute little micro-brewery named after Lady Burra. If you know your largers from your pale ales (I don’t), Lady Burra Brewhouse is no doubt a form of paradise, with lots of artisan brewed-on-site beers to choose from and a fully-functional brewery to admire. Love love love. As a visitor to Adelaide who frequents Melbourne's many bars, I am SUPER impressed and cannot wait for my next trip just to come back here. Vibe, live music and food is on point and well priced. Food service was efficient with the wait being between 10-15 minutes for all of out tapas. It was quite a cold evening so I was very impressed when a staff member moved the heater closer towards my friend and I as we were the only people sitting in that area. The same staff member later returned to offer us a jug of cocktail that had accidentally been made on the house. Cool little place with a wicked atmosphere. Service was good and fast! Food came out really quickly even though the place was busy! Very tasty food also. Only negatives were that there was hardly any gravy with the chips and gravy and the staff kept hovering around the table trying to take away plates all the time when we weren't even finished with the food half the time. Literally had someone at our table more than every 5 minutes. Please relax a little bit and let people finish their food. Better the plate sits there longer than it be taken away unfinished. Also probably could lower the prices for the food... $18 for 4 small serves of chips on a board or $15 for 5 meatballs is a bit steep,...
Came here for my birthday lunch and to be honest, I wasn't amazed. The brewhouse itself is awesome and the idea of having a microbrewery in the city is amazing but personally I think the experience was just average. The service wasn't memorable, nobody was really wowed by their meals and I think it's kinda disappointing when you order a beer paddle only to be given 4 beers minus the paddle because supposedly the glasses didn't fit properly? Even though half the table (who had ordered 5 mins earlier) had received them? Just kinda ruined the fun of it.
the location is very nice, it has tables outside which is nice for a summer drink. Just went yesterday to have lunch with a friend and the customer service was nice. My friend wanted the veggie burger but unfortunately yesterday they didn't have sweet potatoes chips and I asked for a soft drink menu and the waiter told me they didn't have one. Other than that, the experience and the food was ok.
So. Came here once with beer loving friends. Beer was okay, food was sub-par. Thought we might try again to come for a drink. Arrived just before midnight for a drink - cool if you're not open but maybe be polite about it. Door was open, walked in, staff gave the finger across the throat motion. It's fine if you're closed, but maybe a more polite way of expressing that would be more appropriate. Réservez une table maintenant
Came here for lunch today. Great beer & hot chips. Pizza, whilst thin was soggy - possibly prepared earlier given how quickly it came out?? And the salad tasted like it had come straight from the fridge already prepared with just the cheese added at the end. Will come back for beer & hot chips if I'm nearby but not for anything else.
