Why, oh why, is it so hard to find good Chinese food nowadays? All my favorite places of yesteryear have either closed, or now employ cooks who can 't, so I had really high hopes for this place passing the Mongolian Beef test. In short, it didn 't. Not only is MB my favorite dish, but I figure if you can ruin something this basic, everything else is going to be bad as well. Is tasty, tender steak, spiced to perfection with grilled green onions over crispy rice noodles too much to ask for in 2023? Apparently, because in the dish put in front of me tonight, I found an array of odd vegetables (including baby corn) and tasted only the heat and wok oil (definitely NOT peanut, either). The meat ha...

My husband and I got delivery from them the other night and I'd say okay sums it up. My husband ordered boiled lamb and received an overly greasy soup that had lamb in it. I ordered Mongolian beef and to be honest I'm not sure I got what I ordered. The description reads beef slices with green and white onions and mushrooms, in a seafood, soy and oyster sauce. My order did contain slices of beef and what appeared to be red onion. However there were no mushrooms but plenty of carrots, broccoli, and corn. The meat was tender and juicy and the veggies were warm but crips. But I remain confused about what I received. Additionally while the textures were nice and it appeared properly cooked it lac...

Not all locations are equal. Honestly, having been to the Chinatown location many times before, I felt let down and that the food here could 've been better. The boiled fish tasted flat and like it was missing the signature numbing spice you tend to find in most szechuan dishes. For the almost $20 price point, it also felt like the amount of fish didn 't really add up to the cost. The szechuan style string beans didn 't do it for me either, and virtually had no heat at all to it and was borderline on the verge of going bad as it didn 't have that fresh bite to it. Lastly the seafood noodle soup... not even sure this is a Chinese dish. Probably the only positive that came out of this takeout...

Read some good reviews about this restaurant as one just opened in Houston, TX last year. This place originates from Chicago and decided to give it a try. Note that there are several locations all owned by the same chef but there are slight menu variations. We chose this one since it was closest to our hotel. Called for a reservation but the guy just hung up. We walked in at 8 pm where there was only 2 tables. Ordered both dishes from the top 20 customers pick. They were ok nothing to brag about. Only a few slices of filets with loads of tofu. Glad we tried but won't be returning. Réservez une table maintenant

The dishes were edible but not enjoyable; either too salty or just bland. It tasted as though the chef was upset and now I'm upset too. The server was nice and tried to get me a replacement dish but it still came out sad. It's your standard corny Chinese decor and I grew up with it at our Chinese restaurants that my family owned. If you're looking to show visitors some historical tacky Chinese restaurant with just edible food, here's your spot. Hope you read this review before you go, but if you didn't then welcome to the disappointed club.

Found this place by accident while driving on Ogden. The food is excellent and the service outstanding. A great selection of items that arrive hot with friendly cordial service. Prices are fair and portions are good. This for sure is our new go to place as we are happy to find a place that has not decided It is easier to make a quick buck and not open the restaurant and only handle delivery or pick up. Restaurants do that lead me to believe that they are filthy inside.

Drove past this place probably 50 times. Doesn't look like much to talkb about from the outside, however after eating the food I got plenty to say. I'll start with, it was good. The rice was standard white rice. But the pork roll was very good and the Mongolian beef had decent flavor, and the meet was soft and tender. I'll go back to give a more comprehensive review and see if this place could make my list of good places in the area.

Top notch again. I never had pea pod leaves until today, and they were awesome. Everything was great, and the staff was the best. Our NYE tradition continues! If you like authentic dishes, then try Lao Sze Chuan! Réservez une table maintenant

Quality has gone down quite a bit. They are focusing more on quantity rather than fresh and flavorful quality. Used to be our favorite place, but has steadily gone downhill.
