Lazat Malaysian Restaurant

I went to this restaurant in Niddrie by chance. Not much else was open to be honest and I hadn't has Malaysian food for years. This is a relatively new place set amongst an ever growing variety of restaurants in the Keilor Rd district. The decor is simple but really pleasant offering an open yet relaxed atmosphere suited to the cusine.The food was quite frankly a knock out. We tried a variety of appertisers and main meals and all were seriously good. The mixed appertisers showcased their style and quality and set the scene for the mains. As with others, we accidentally stumbled upon this gem while driving along Ballarat Road a few years ago and we have been back countless times since then. It's our go-to eatery if we need to grab a bite before a movie or after work. We recently had a large family gathering there and everything went smoothly (and the total bill was much less than a friend predicted it would be for that many people). It's easy to build a rapport with the friendly staff and the food is always tasty. They will be open for longer hours soon, after midnight, just like it would be in Asia.

Food spoiled by over seasoning with MSG. Massive headache and swelling to lips and ears. Be careful if you or your little ones are sensitive to this additive. I asked if it had been added and was advised no but this additive does go under different names and my reaction was full on.

Malaysian it is but it's not quite there. We ordered the mamak mee goreng and char koey teow. Mee Goreng was too dry and the CKT has all the right ingredients but no chilli and was not charred enough. Waitress was friendly and pleasent. A 6/10. Réservez une table maintenant

Been to the Niddrie one several times & the food is always great & very reasonably priced. I recommend this to everyone & have been here a few times for group dinners which everyone has enjoyed.

Delicious food authentic chinese malay dishes, friendly and courteous staff, free parking, not a crowded place to dine in.... Keep it up!!!! We are always a happy customer. :)

Had lunch here the other day. Service was friendly and fast and both our meals were fantastic. It looked beautiful, was tasty and was served very quickly as well.

Small outlet Friendly waitpersons Not representative as Malaysian cuisine Fried hor fun with egg sauce is average . Flaming fried Kway Teow is way below par Réservez une table maintenant

Great staff, service and atmosphere. The food is the best in the west and you can tell by the amount of return business they get. Try it!
