While walking to another restaurant, Le 9 caught my eye and we decided to enter. What a pleasant surprise! First I have to say that FINALLY we entered a restaurant with very pleasant staff and we were thankful for it because other places in Bordeaux we've been to, weren't as keen on tourists, sadly. We had the lunch menu for 15€ that included bread, a starter, a main course, a desert and a glass of wine. All of us ordered different dishes and we all enjoyed each and every one of them very much! I especially enjoyed the mille-feuille de betterave. This is Le 9's first month open and as fellow restaurateurs I can only congratulate them for how well they're doing, and I know they'll be very well known in the future! Bravo et merci! We dined in this small but fabulous restaurant. The menu is imaginative and perfectly executed. The chef is a gem, coming out to the table to explain anything. This restaurant is in the chartrons district and tucked away but I would strongly advise you to seek it out as you will not be disappointed. It is the 2nd time I have dined here and I will certainly be back.Please venture out from the tourist trails and you will not be disappointed!
Back in Bordeaux again after 12 months, and we again visited this delightful restaurant.Sebastian and Mathilde remembered us from last year, and the welcome and service remain both good and very friendly/personal. The food continues to impress, and is probably the best value meal in Bordeaux.We have now also taken friends, and they were equally enthusiastic.
This is a small but wonderfully friendly restaurant in the north of Bordeaux. The food was fantastic, fresh and beautifully presented. We can definitely recommend the tuna starter, lamb cutlets and the white chocolate mousse dessert. Great value for a wonderful meal.
