We had a very good dinner experience at Le Caveau even though we only had appetizers they were very interesting in addition to being very delicious. We opted for the charcuterie board of meats and cheeses and the shrimp wrapped in salmon to share. This was so much that I had to change my mains to the scallops which my wife had ordered as her main too which the kitchen was able to accommodate. The charcuterie came with 3 cheeses and 4 meats including a spectacular chicken liver mousse and about 7 or 8 different pickled vegetables that were all made in house. The pickles ended up being the star of the show with the chicken liver mousse and bread. We sat outside and service was leisurely which...

The location , the food, the wine and the absolutely fabulous team made this an amazing evening. We stayed nearby and it was wonderful to walk to the venue. We arrived and were given complementary rosé while we waited for a table outside. It was worth the wait. The sun set while we enjoyed Sober Island oysters with our rosé. They were fabulous. The wagyu beef and confit of rabbit were wonderful. The dessert of swiss creme brulé was bold but tasty; the blueberry handpie was a reliable stand by which i thoroughly enjoyed. We capped it off with an espresso dopio and a capuccino which were fabulous. Honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in years and certainly since busting out and...

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. We started our meal with delicious oysters on the half shell that tasted incredibly fresh. We then enjoyed Yellowfin Tuna Tartar with a flavorful sauce, followed by Seared Sustainable Blue Salmon and Brant Lake Wagyu Hanger Steak Confit for our entrees. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. After dinner, we stayed at the Grand Pre Inn and had a lovely lunch at Le Caveau the next day. The Scallop Spaghetti, Newfoundland Mussels, and Lobster, Scallop and Cold Water Shrimp Chowder were all exquisite dishes made with the freshest ingredients. A big thank you to Beatrice, Chef Jason, and the rest of the sta...

The restaurant had a lovely patio and the food was delicious. We opted for the pairing menu, but were disappointed that we weren't provided with information about the wines paired with each dish. We had to constantly ask which wine we were drinking and why it was paired with a certain dish. Based on our past experiences at other wineries, we expected a higher level of expertise in terms of pairing and dining. The server was pleasant, but this was not the level of service we were expecting.

this entire meal was a delight. We shared appetizer and main course and each had our own dessert. The slow cooked root vegetable salad was beautiful to look at and even better to eat. Soy glazed duck was delicious and the accompaniments including in season fiddleheads were great. One of us is dairy and gluten free and the Pistachio and Oat Pave was an especially wonderful treat. We've eaten all over the world and our own home grown restaurant is among the best.

What a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting! My husband had the reuben and I had a lovely haddock sandwich with perfectly cooked duck fat fries on the side. We split a fabulous chocolate dessert twice baked chocolate souffle which was absolutely one of the best chocolate things I have ever eaten in Nova Scotia. And of course, Grand Pre wines with everything we'll be back!

We really enjoyed our meal at Le Caveau. The chef creates amazing meals from locally produced ingredients. The fresh sour dough bread disappeared so quickly we had to ask for more. The service was excellent and so was our meal. We tried the local wines which they promote. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I would best describe this place as slightly overrated. The property itself is fantastic as is the service, in my experience the food was lacking seasoning. But nothing else really wrong with it otherwise. I don’t think I’d come back just because I didn’t feel wow’d by anything here.

My wife and I enjoyed a late dinner at this restaurant as part of a special evening celebrating her birthday. The staff were fantastic and very friendly to banter with. The food was top-notch and delicious.
