I 'm trying to understand the appeal, and I believe I do. The food here is presented as a work of art and is as delicious as it is breathtaking. The portions are exceptionally small however. There 's nothing new under the sun. Fine restaurants have been serving small portioned dishes forever. It 's a different mindset. Many people love the formula and return as often as they can. I 'm not one of those people. One of their best known appetizers is the seared scallops. These of course were some of the best scallops I 've ever had. Similar to their affiliate Le Filet, the scallops are prepared with a hard sear, and served with some lemon reduction or something along those lines. The problem is...
Visited the amazing Montreal for my birthday weekend celebration and came to one of the finest restaurants I have ever been to. We have had one of the finest overall dining experiences here, besides the amazing food we were served. The restaurant is 100% compliant with the country's rules as per COVID-19 pandemic, as we were all asked to show our vaccine passports before being seated. They do highly recommend a reservation prior to coming to the restaurant. The staff was overall extremely warm, professional, and well-informed about the menu, in terms of recommendation. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are absolutely delightful! We decided to just have dessert, and we regret not finding this place sooner. We thoroughly enjoyed the Château les Justices Sauterne wine paired with a hazelnut praline and caramel cookie. The staff were charming and the service was outstanding. A combination of French charm and excellent service makes this restaurant a must-visit. Cheers!
After three years and a pandemic, I am still a huge fan of this restaurant! I recently visited again during a trip to Montreal and the food was still delicious. The surf and turf dish has changed to pork belly instead of steak, but it is still tasty. I also tried the scallops and risotto as appetizers, and they were both excellent. They have excellent service! Our group thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The dishes were very flavorful. I highly recommend trying out their risotto au cochonnet braisé , the foie gras just melts in your mouth, full of flavor! I suggest you take their wine pairing for the night menu. The waiters and waitress are very knowledgeable if you want a recommendation.
By far the best meal I had in 2021, my boyfriend and I ordered the tasting menu and you won't have to worry to be hungry after! It comes in six services and portions were generous. It was so good that I forgot to capture all the plates. Photos are missing the two oysters and the risotto which were both excellent as well. Definitely recommended!
Outstanding. Great ambience, terrific service and the food was exquisite. Every dish had multiple layers of flavor. The scallops were lively as was the halibut and the guinea fowl. I had the strawberry/rhubarb dessert and it was incredible. Every bite was worth savoring. They brought warm milk fir the coffee which was a really nice touch. .
