We visited Daglan without making a reservation but in the hope of dining at another restaurant about which we had read good reports, but they were fully booked. So we took a walk around the very charming village, found Le Petit Paris and were shown to a table in the lovely upstairs dining room. We certainly were not disappointed. Our meal was excellent and the service very attentive without being intrusive. We consider Le Petit Paris was one of the highlights of our dining experiences in the four weeks we were in France and Italy. We have been holidaying in France annually since 2008 and think it is getting more and more difficult to find a quality, reasonably priced restaurant serving good...
Had a lovely dinner here last night. Friendly, welcoming and stylish. Gourmet food in a rural setting. The amuse bouche was fab - cabecou mousse + duck rillettes. A small menu - no bad thing - with a lovely choice of starters cured salmon was beautiful with chopped oyster and horseradish emulsion. The Beef main (with foie gras) was the star! Great puds too - classic soufflé with grand marnier or warm chocolate pudding with ginger ice cream. Rich and yummy. Portions not too big but packed with richness and flavour. Classic cuisine in a refined but relaxed environment. What's not to like whilst in the heart of rural France?!
Fantastic meal and service from start to finish. We went there last night as a group of 8 friends for a birthday dinner and couldnt have been happier with the service, food & location. We sat outside in the small town of Daglan - beautiful peace and quiet on a little square. The waiter was fantastic and dealt incredibly well with our terrible attempts at speaking French. From the amouse bouche to the rillette all the way through to the soufflé there were clean plates all rounds and compliments to the chef. Probably not a destination for vegetarians, but we would not hesitate to go back.
Nous avons essayé des fois pour venir avant, c'était toujours plein mais hier nous avons eu de la chance ! Le cadre est magnifique, joli village dans une belle région. Le restaurant en lui-même est très bien conçu, élégant mais sobre. L'accueil était top ! L'apéritif maison était excellent...et les plats étaient très bons de l'entrée au soufflé au grand marnier sans oublier le lapin. Nous reviendrons car il n'y a pas beaucoup de restaurants dans le coin qui peuvent rivaliser avec celui-ci ! Assurez-vous de réserver à l'avance.

As we always like to eat at the Petit Paris when we are in the Périgord we made sure by booking in advance. Easting outside is a particular pleasure so we chose the day which boasted the best weather forecast. Unfortunately there was a cloudburst just as we arrived, so we had to go inside. That didn’t take anything away from the food though - duck nems, sweetbread and raspberry gratin. Yes, as some say, the menu doesn’t change much, but as we only get there once a year that’s fine by us.Already looking forward to next year.
Excellente cuisine dans ce charmant restaurant. Menu fixe pour le dîner et amuse-bouche. Le pain et le pâté servis avec cela constituaient une bonne entrée pour les enfants. Pas de repas pour enfants en tant que tel mais ils avaient une cuisse de canard rôtie avec des pommes de terre croquet... puis de la glace. Tout est délicieux et joliment présenté. Ça vaut vraiment le détour.
Visited Le Petit Paris on a summer's evening. Great welcome by the hostess. Set menu provided great variety. Able to swap with other main meals. Delicious starters, mains and desert with a great hostess providing us with some local knowledge. Definitely recommend!
Great authentic French food. Very tasteful and cozy surroundings. professionally staff. Will be back soon.
