It's not often we get the chance to have breakfast out on a Sunday (or any other day for that matter). Two Sundays ago a chance came up and we decided to try something new in our local area - Le Petit Prince fitted the bill nicely. It was a nice sunny winter morning and the outside seating was fully occupied - so we ate indoors. It was cosy and friendly and very soon also filled up - a good sign that they must be doing something right here. The menu looked really good with some novel combinations for breakfast meals. We finally chose a Pumpkin mash with avocado etc and poached eggs on a healthy toasted bread and avocado and porchini mushrooms with poached eggs as our choices. The serves were...

A "2" rating for Le Petit Prince Cafe is hard, but there are too many good cafes in Melbourne that set a high standard for cafes and coffee quality. Le Petit Prince is a very cute place. As such, it is a goldmine if they get it right. However, there is a lack of passion and a true love of coffee and food and a pursuit of the perfect coffee. There is a lack of passion to provide their clientele with an enriching experience. It's almost like a job has been given to some family members to produce coffee and food. The coffees we had at Le Petit Prince were just not good enough. So far, Georges seems to be the only place in Armadale that produces a decent coffee. We will keep searching as we won'...

Out for a window shop in High Street and a late lunch with a friend, I asked a local for a cafe suggestion. She pointed us to the turn off into Mercer Street. There at the rear of what was once a corner pub is this smallish café space with extra seating on the footpath under two beautiful trees. It met our needs well. My friend had an iced coffee. I had a choice from the "Healthy" options: a bowl of salad + vegies. These were both OK, although not special. Table service (by a traveller from Finland) was OK too. I'd return: for a snack in a comfortably casual setting.

outdoor seating being under shade of huge trees, it is such a lovely spot - especially on a sunday afternoon when there is not much traffic on high street. poached eggs withchorizo, feta, pureed beetroot, avocado on multigrain toasts was beautiful to look at with mushrooms there was full of flavour but sadly chorizo turned out dry and brittle. and the coffee - there are now so many cafes serving great coffee in melbourne, it was sadly a let down at le petit prince. Interesting menu divided into light, heathy and rich, each a blend of offerings for brekky and lunch. As the heathy section boasted a dish with chorizo, mushrooms, avo, egg, feta and toast I chose that and it was generous and delicious. Coffee was great and the service was also.

Tucked down a side street off high street, with easy parking, this place is delightful. Such friendly and helpful staff. an interesting menu, not extensive, but with something for everyone. Quick service, great atmosphere, good food and a very nice place to have breakfast.

We found this place by accident & it's a delight. Tucked down a side street of Armadale, it's lovely sitting under the trees! The menu is varied, the coffee is fab & the service is good as well. It's a small cafe but definitely worth a visit.

I went with a friend for coffee after work and was unimpressed with the quality of my hot chocolate as it tasted watered-down. The waitresses seemed bored and the whole experience was disappointing. Réservez une table maintenant
