"We had a fabulous meal here but it wasn't cheap. They do two sittings, one at 7.00 and the other at 9.00. They do speak a little English. Fish was lovely and fresh and changes everyday with what has been caught."

This is a super little restaurant which is a little bit off the main restaurant drag in the port of Dieppe. There are tons of french reviews on the french site which tell you what I am going to tell you. This is a gem of a restaurant. When we went there was a fixed price 16 euro menu which had a little buffet starter that you could help yourself from, then a choice of skate, a steak, duck confit or a chicken main. There were desserts too.We ordered a la carte, and for 75 euros we ate very well. No starter, two scallop main courses and two fabulous desserts. A pichet of house white, a bottle of fizzy water and two kir to start. Service was excellent despite the restaurant filling up around us. We went without a reservation but I suggest you call and make one. They have relatively few tables and they were all full by 8 pm on a thursday.I'm going to so hate myself when I can't get a table here in the busy season, but they deserve to be full ALL the time.

We walked in without a booking but were told they had no room for us (there were free tables). The attitude was very brash - no apology - no "here is a card please call us or can we book you in for tomorrow " etc ! We are regular visitors to Dieppe so would have been able to do this. Also, impression of the restaurant: steamy windows, my wife said there was an unpleasant smell. We will not be going back. "Bon chance Le Turbot".

This is the sort of place where the locals eat. Don't expect the menu to have English translations - go to the quayside if that floats your boat. You're expected to speak French, but are rewarded with an outstanding meal. It's the sort of place where the (French) diners at the next table wish you "bon appetite" when your food comes up, and you're likely to bump into the manager of your hotel on his day off!

Amazing value 3-course menu available in the evening including a buffet of fresh starters, a gigantic, tasty main (we had the rouget) & yummy pudding. Staff very friendly & professional & portion sizes enormous !! Yummy fish pâté & croutons with the aperitif, delicious wines by the glass, jug or bottle. The à la carte menu looked amazing too. Enjoy ! Go hungry !
