Discovering the Perfect Day Out in Valais!!! My recent visit to Marecottes Zoo left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share my experience. It was an unexpected delight to stumble upon such a gem of a destination for a day out with family and friends. From the moment I stepped foot in the zoo, it was evident that the animals were well taken care of and content in their habitats and being able to feed some of them made the experience even more memorable. As the summer heat approaches there is a huge swimming pool it’s a fantastic addition to this place allowing visitors to cool off while surrounded by the beauty of Nature. When you are in the neighbourhood of Les Marecottes you should visit the zoo. They have the local animals (we loved especially the bear family) and there is also a pool. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. There is also a restaurant. When you are with a buggy (for small children) be aware that the zoo has some climbs.

Very friendly zoo and restaurant waiters just as much. Nevertheless, the chef should show a little more discretion when he yells to his second that there are only 4 portions of fries instead of 5 and that he cuts into the existing portions to fill the missing.... We paid for 5 portions not 4

Depresing place. Standard ZOO advertised as Animals in their natural environement place. The apartaments with balcones over the bears enclosure complete this awful inhuman impression. Keep far away ... Réservez une table maintenant

Visit at 5 p.m. many animals have already returned to the houses apart from that quite good for a mountain zoo I found the entrance price quite high compared to the animals visible

We had the local burgers and they were good. Service was poor though awfully long waiting time to get food. People are nice but it is simply too long.

Quite a few people lots of animals wild cats wolves deer deer etc atmosphere super nice presentation marmots goats nice restaurants nice menu

We ate on the terrace. Very good dishes and smiling waitress. Too bad the swimming pool was overcrowded and very very cold. Réservez une table maintenant

Very lovely little Alpine zoo. You can buy a small bag of animal feed so the little ones can feed the goats and deer.
