This place used to be great. But since January has began to go downhill, attracting an undesirable crowd making the place a violent and hostile venue as well as rampant substance use occurring on the premises, along with the steep price increases and the mass exodus of decent staff. The new and current staff do little to make the place welcoming nor do they appear to have the capability to pour a proper pint. It’s a real shame as this was a nice little bar to drink in and catch up with friends. Let’s see if the new manager can fix it up to its former glory rather than the current state it’s in…
During the day shifts, there is only one young girl serving at the bar by herself, with no manager or bouncers/security present, even on busy weekends. I have witnessed multiple fights during my time there, and the young girls have had to try and break them up and ask the grown men involved to leave. It is ridiculous that the owner does not provide adequate support for the staff, who are on minimum wage despite essentially running the place on their own. The prices are also very high, which makes the situation even more unacceptable. The owner should be ashamed of himself.
This place was recommended by a friend. The staff are great. Drinks excellent price, locals friendly. Biggest problem they have is the local tramp that squats in the doorway smoking and spitting on the pavement and cafe next door. They have a dress code after seven at night. Their staff have to clean the floors after it has gone. It has a foul mouth all the time. Made people feel uncomfortable with its behaviour. If you are going out in good clothes avoid this place. Liquid Bar improve this or people will not come in
Came here for drinks only to have our night cut short by feral UNDERAGE children who’d been served by staff here which then resulted in the police being called totally ruined the atmosphere. This place urgently needs a licensing review as what we witnessed should never have happened and was easily avoidable had the staff taken the right course of action. There’s plenty of other pubs and bars in ormskirk that are far superior and safer than here. Will be avoiding in future.

Love this bar as I’m the drinks are ridiculously cheap compared to other bars even cheaper than Wetherspoons!! Always busy with a nice atmosphere but do wish people would move up so that others can sit down. The locals deffo don’t appreciate others going in and there are random pints and coats scattered around saving seats where boobs seems to return for long periods!! Bit annoying but it’s still a great place!!
This bar has multiple large screen TVs, making it the perfect spot to watch football with your friends. The drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is always lively when there's a match on. It can get quite busy though, sometimes to the point where it's standing room only. They offer bar snacks but not full meals. It's a popular spot and one of my favorites when I'm in Ormskirk.
Worst bar I've been in, ages to get served, they just serve the locals first who are sat on stools around the bar, having to order over their heads, pint getting spilt over the bar, people smoking right on the doorstep so all the smoke coming in. All in all, worst pub I've ever had the misfortune of going in, never again, reminds me of the bar from Star Wars!!
The owner pays too much attention to his female staff members, which makes them visibly uncomfortable. The majority of the regular customers are verbally racist, sexist, and homophobic, and the owner doesn't seem to care. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite sketchy, so I would recommend avoiding this place as it's no longer a pleasant place to visit.

Poor management, only few customers in there are the town drunks and idiots. Overpriced, dirty and miserable. Offer you illegal ciggys and play sky sports without paying for it. Avoid at all costs
