My family and I had a fantastic dining experience at L'Italiano Trattoria last Friday evening around 5:15 pm. Despite not having a reservation, the staff managed to find us a table and kindly asked us to finish by 6:45 pm. The atmosphere was welcoming and intimate, with many regular customers being personally greeted by the staff. This hidden gem is cherished for its timeless quality and lack of online hype. This Sicilian restaurant, owned by a wonderful family, offers an authentic home-cooked Italian meal that cannot be matched by any other establishment in Little Italy or on Arthur Avenue. Unlike other Italian restaurants in the area run by Albanians, this restaurant offers a nice selection of Sicilian wines and beer, although they do not serve liquor.

The food at this restaurant is authentic and delicious. I went with my friends and we all enjoyed our meals. I plan on returning with my family soon. I got to taste a bit of everyone's dishes and they were all excellent. I especially loved the Pollo alla fria, chicken with spinach, prosciutto in a wine sauce - it was absolutely delicious.
