The food is absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that the menu changes often and many old favorites are slowly being replaced by newer items that aren't as different and exciting as the old food. I miss the Cuban sandwich and bacon-wrapped shrimp grits! Most of their beers are just okay, but that's just because they aren't my personal preference. The Lock Tender, however, knocks it out of the park and is always a great choice. However, the atmosphere is always relaxed and fun, and service is superb. Staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about what they're serving. Love coming back here over and over again.
My wife and I have been to Lock 27 a few times now and every time has been a great experience. We’re not big drinkers but the beers and cocktails we’ve tried have been good. What keeps bringing us back is the food and service. Lock 27 has the best buffalo chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The sauce, the blue cheese, the slaw, all atop some perfectly cooked chicken…it’s fantastic. The fries are no slouch either and are always fresh and crispy. It’s bar food done really well. Last but certainly not least the service is always great. Staff is friendly and attentive always making it a pleasure to come here.
The restaurant was extremely busy with only two staff members on duty, yet the service was still outstanding! I ordered three mahi tacos, and they were fantastic! I would recommend skipping the fries, as they didn’t really complement the tacos. I also tried a flight of beers and absolutely loved them! My two favorites were the Mouthbreaker IPA and the Red, White, and Blueberry Pastry Sour. The Go Bananzas (a milkshake yeast beer) paired perfectly with the tacos. The flavors from the beer complemented the pineapple and cauliflower in the tacos beautifully!
Overall I had an OK experience. The service was good and friendly, no problem there. The Beer wasn’t great, Got the Mouthbreather IPA and Always Sunny in Dayton. For food we got the Buffalo Blue Chicken Sandwich and Chicken chunks. The sandwich was a little too wet and just fell apart in my hand. The Chicken chunks had ZERO flavor and were a little burnt. Overall the price seemed a little high for the food. I might come again if someone suggested it but the suggestion won’t come from me.

The place was packed on a Thursday night and they had a trivia. The staff was friendly, but didn't wear masks. The service was good, but due to the trivia it was a bit loud. How to get to dinner: Limited Veggie options (except Fried and Nachos). We both tried and they were good. But the chicken wings are amazing. Hot and super delicate. I would highly recommend it. The beer selection was also good, my favourite was De Goede and Dirty Bean Stout.
The food was good! The wings are great, along with Perogies. Really good appetizers. The burger was also not bad and the chicken was very delicious. The server was a nice guy, just a little on the slow slide. The business was not very busy either, they had a lot of orders. I wish I could give it 4.5 the 4 is just too low and the 5 is too high. I will come back
Been going for years but ever since Covid the food has really gone downhill. It’s gotten worse the last couple months. Last visit the smoked wings didn’t have the dry rub and appeared to be fried?! The poutine was basically just fries sitting in a deep pool of beef broth. Both of these used to be the best around. Beer is still great though.
Great place to eat, drink and hang around! Very relaxed atmosphere. The staff was phenomenal. Smoked wings and beer were delicious. Prices reflect the quality of the plant. I remembered a big pub I visited in Italy. 10/10 would recommend.
