Lola 55 Tacos Cocktails

Everything I’ve tried here is really good!! The tacos are super tasty and very unique flavors. Drinks are great, and the churros are delicious. The reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is due to safety. We ordered the churro Sunday and it showed up covered in peanuts. The menu did not say peanuts, so this was a shock. I do have a severe peanut allergy and it was at this time that they let us know that all the ice cream and caramel did include peanuts. The only thing on the menu that states peanuts is the salsa for the chicken taco. The food here is decent, but don't come here if you are craving Mexican food. The staff was lovely but really this is a cocktail bar with Mexican-inspired food that's all sold ala carte. We ordered a steak a chicken taco, a Caesar salad (pictured), elotes, and a quesadilla for the kiddo. The tacos were tasty but cloyingly heavy and didn't hold a candle to good old taqueria or food truck tacos. The salad consisted of a giant mound of whole romaine leaves that were drenched in dressing (and deep fried croutons. They didn't have tortilla chips. Lola is a lot more style than substance.

A Bib Gourmand award winner from Michelin this place is delicious. It is everything you want from a taco place: freshly prepared corn tortillas, sauces on sauces to compliment your dish, quick service. Not at all pretentious, the food is simply well prepared and tasty af. Make sure to get orders of the rice and beans. We tried the Baja fish taco and the carnitas. Carnitas was my favorite while others in my party said the Baja fish taco was the best they’ve had thanks to the sauce. Mezcal margs were a treat. Any way you slice it, you can’t go wrong.

Best tacos we had in california! From the minute we arrived the service was excellent. The man at the bar talked through the menu and made recommendations for what to try if we'd never been before and the suggestions were spot on. Every taco was delicious, especially the fish and the sides and drinks were amazing too. I believe Lola 55 was mentioned in the Michelin Guide and considering the quality of the food and service, its incredible value. Réservez une table maintenant

Extremely creative and tasty tacos! I thought the flavor profiles of each taco were excellent. Definitely try the carne asada and the Baja fish. The spicy margarita was very delicious as well. It’s a chill, casual place…order at the register and grab a seat.

Very hip atmosphere, great food. Never thought I would rave about rice and beans but they were delicious, as was our main dish I welcome the fast casual style where you pay before you sit down, eat and leave when you're ready

There is a difference a chef made taco and everyone else making a taco. Really unique flavor combo that works very well. The food is stellar but the service is lacking. Seems to be confusion. No napkins. Still 5 stars

It's my first time to eat such fancy tacos. It was carefully made and delicious. In particular, the fish octopus was exquisite. This is a taco shop you should definitely go to when you come to San Diego. Réservez une table maintenant

Food was extremely good high quality. Service was slow, but we didn't mind ,we were also not in a rush, and we enjoyed our food. Steak taco can be better. Thank you
