I 've been here a couple of times, and the food has always been spectacular. All the dishes are so flavourful and well thought-out. It 's not just 'here 's some meat and potatoes ', each dish has so many components and textures for you to create different combinations for each bite. For fine dining, the portions are also quite generous. Service is also amazing. For example, they didn 't bring our dessert until we were done our cocktails. From the moment I walked through the doors of Loloan Lobby Bar, I knew I was in for a special culinary journey. The aromas enveloping the room immediately transported me back to my childhood, a comforting flashback to days spent feasting on meals served on banana leaves.It was more than just a dining experience; it’s a journey through a kaleidoscope of flavors and textures, deeply rooted in nostalgic memories, yet boldly pushing the envelope of culinary innovation. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to delight their palate and embark on a nostalgic gastronomic journey.
We had four shareable dishes, Hoy, Moo Wan, Larb Nuea and Kilawin. Each was presented very elaborately and greatly appealed based on appearance. There was a lot of spiciness based on the use of peppers but to our tastes the overall flavour was subdued. Conclusion by is was it was an interesting experience but that we were not big fans of this type of cuisine, not that the various dishes were not well prepared. Service was friendly and prompt. If you like this type of cuisine it is a great place.
Nothing left to be desired. Absolute careful and deliberate execution of every plating and pairing. Our server, or host as I'd like to call him, Mitchell, was passionate about the food he offered and introduced us to a number of wonderful dishes. All were D-lisch! We really enjoyed our evening here. The drinks were crafted, not just made, with care. True mixologists. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to drinks. Dinner was an adventure in fine dining. The food was well prepared, presented and flavored. Each of our meals had something to offer in variety and taste. The service was on point and brisk. We wanted for nothing. It wasn't cheap but I would say we got value for our money.
The place is an experience. The menu was overwhelming but our server was patient and wonderful at describing what was available. Presentation is definitely important to them and they did not disappoint. Each part of the lamb dish was an experience for my tastebuds. Truly enjoyed the changes in flavour and texture and it came together wonderfully. A great location to celebrate but be aware that the cost is substantial.
I’ve been to Loloan 3 times now, and I can confidently say that it is my favourite bar in town! The atmosphere is elegant and cool, the drinks are expertly crafted, and the staff are so friendly and fun. Makes for a delightful night out. Shoutout to Christian for going above and beyond to make me feel well celebrated for my birthday!
