I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. When I arrived, I waited for over 10 minutes before being attended to. The phone was left off the hook, and when I finally spoke to someone, the employee was on his personal phone and claimed they were too busy to assist me. However, I noticed there was no line when I walked in. The staff member was unprofessional and rude. It seems that the majority of the paying customers are Black, and despite this, we felt mistreated during our visit. I've observed that they are struggling against a neighboring business that serves the Black community, and it's clear that their lack of respect for customers may be contributing to a loss of clientele. I called to place a phone order and was put on hold for 10 minutes. I drove all the way from Compton to Avalon and when I finally reached them, they acted like they still had me on hold. I let them know that I had been waiting, and their customer service was terrible. The staff was rude and seemed to display racist behavior. One of the ladies mentioned they were very busy, but it didn't seem that way—there was only one person waiting for their food. Overall, my experience was disappointing due to the poor customer service and rudeness I encountered.
