I called to place a pickup order and even had the person on the phone repeat my order back to me, but when I got home, I found I had a completely different meal. To make matters worse, they overcharged me by $43. The owner mentioned that if I wanted something specially made, I would need to give them two hours' notice. However, the person I spoke to had told me they don’t make any special meals—just what's on the menu. This will be my last time ordering from Luigi. Goodbye!
I ordered several entrées: baked lasagna, eggplant Parmigiana, veal cutlet Parmigiana, garlic knots, and a couple of salads. I requested extra oil and vinegar, but was shocked to find the prices were quite high initially. Paying $5 for a small plastic cup of oil and vinegar left a sour taste in my mouth. The food was mediocre—not terrible, but not great either. I haven't returned since.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food is delicious and fresh, and the place is impeccably clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuine. The owner is hands-on and always present, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and respect. I'm grateful that they remain open, and I always enjoy placing my orders here. Thank you!
January 2024 Update: Still the best pizza slice in town! Be sure to try the Sausage and Hot Cherry Pepper pie—it's absolutely incredible! The Meatball slice with extra cheese deserves an honorable mention as well. Without a doubt, the best pizza in Bayside. By far the best pizzeria in Queens! They use high-quality ingredients and the food is simply amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. In fact, I've had dishes from Luigi that outshine those I've had at some upscale Italian restaurants. It's a family-owned business with a fantastic reputation in the neighborhood.
This restaurant is highly overrated. The food is mediocre, and it takes them two hours to deliver pizza that's just five minutes away. Plus, the prices are steep. There's really nothing impressive about this place—save your money and avoid eating here. It’s not worth it.
I haven't tried any of their specialty slices including the popular chicken caesar. I always mean to but their Grandma pie is just so good that I always get it. My parents who live out of NYC always has me get pizza from here whenever they visit.
They have great pizza. Their other food appetizers, heroes and dinners are excellent. The owner and the staff are very friendly. Their prices are very reasonable. Réservez une table maintenant
