Since Covid has started, many restaurants have had struggles with staffing. MacKenzie River may fall into that category. I have visited this location a few times this year. Each time, I have had a delay in getting our food. Today, the parking lot was half full and staffing looked like they had plenty of personnel. Also in today's economy, You can look to spend almost $100 for a family of 5. It is what it is. However, with having to spend the money, a customer should expect excellent service and good food. I placed an online order at 4 PM, selecting a pickup time of 5:45 PM for two salads and some artichoke dip. I arrived on time, only to be informed that my food—specifically the dip—was not yet ready. I ended up waiting an additional 15 minutes for the dip to be prepared, which simply needed to be warmed up. No part of my meal was compensated or credited, and I had already tipped when I placed the order. To sum it up: while the food is decent, don’t expect great service or any customer support, and be prepared for delays with your food, even when ordering takeout nearly two hours in advance. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back to McKenzie River.
You can make the pasta and salad better at home, so stick with the pizza if you're eating here. It's a family joint which frequents a LOT of crying toddlers and babies, so look elsewhere for datenight, folks. Three stars because out of an entire menu of things to order, pizza is the only thing worth getting. Staff is friendly, but even when things are slow, they take their time handling things which means when you're ready to go, you might as well leave your table and fish for someone to help you pay your bill. A bit on the pricier side for generic food, but at the same time, it's better than Pizza Hut, so ?????
I always make it a priority to stop by Mackenzie River Pizza Co. whenever I return to Montana. I was pleased to see the place was bustling, a good sign of its quality. We were seated quickly, and the service was excellent. I was thrilled to find Cold Smoke on tap, which paired wonderfully with the pizzas we ordered. However, there was a bit of a hiccup with the nachos this time—they took about ten minutes longer to arrive than the pizza and didn't quite live up to the high standards I've come to expect from MRP. Despite that, it's still a fantastic spot, and I will definitely be returning.

I had a delightful experience at Mackenzie River Pizza Co. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was exceptional. I was impressed by how quickly they refilled our soda. Overall, the food was quite tasty. My only downside was that both the pizzas and the lodgepoles were excessively greasy—really too greasy, in fact. Despite this, they were packed with flavor. I even had to drain the grease from my two slices of pizza, enough to create a puddle on the plate. The Thai Pie pizza was a standout as particularly delicious. I would definitely consider returning to try more from their menu.

This is a fantastic spot for a family date night. It was a bit busy, but the kids still enjoyed themselves, and our food arrived in a timely manner. The appetizers were delicious, and there was a great variety of dishes on the menu. We ordered salads, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta, and everyone was really pleased with their choices.

amazing pizza was the price just high because I drank some beer. I have recommended the hot hawaiian and in any case. small is a decent size for 1 person if they don't want any rest.
