Macquarie St Food Store

This place used to be really good, quite a few options on the menu could be made vegan, and most of the menu was vegetarian. The management has changed and although last time I went there (2010) they had the same menu, they are very rude and unprofessional, and had trouble differentiating between dairy-free and gluten-free, which makes me worry about what kind of mistakes they could be making. I sadly can't reccomend it anymore, but will certainly be back if I hear the management has changed again.

I almost overlooked this incredible little spot! It has a wonderful ambiance—unpredictable, friendly, and filled with amazing vegan options. The food was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The staff is lovely, too. You even pass through a very clean kitchen on your way to the bathroom. I just wish they were open for dinner! It was such a great experience.

It's a charming little café with friendly staff and delicious food. I highly recommend the baked beans and the mushrooms on toast!
