As soon as we walked in, the first aisle to the left revealed several racist items. While encountering such items isn't unusual in an antique shop, just a few steps further, we stumbled upon even more offensive pieces. We opted to leave, but as we walked back towards the exit, we encountered even more troubling items in the next aisle. I understand that various vendors have different products, but the store could easily enforce a policy against selling items that depict racial stereotypes in exaggerated and dehumanizing ways. These items should be donated to organizations like AMusBE or the Jim Crow Museum.
