WARNING! We visited this restaurant tonight as a party of four adults and one 11-month-old baby. The service was slow, and when we received the bill, we were informed that an 18% gratuity had been added for our group of five. This was never mentioned when we were seated. I couldn’t believe it—there were four adults and a baby who didn't eat anything! Are you serious? It seems like they don't want families dining there. This is a completely unreasonable policy! I, for one, will never return to this restaurant.
I can't quite explain why, but when I'm visiting family in the San Gabriel valley, we come here. It's somewhat out of tradition at this point, but also because the selection of sashimi, nigiri, and rolls are plentiful. Our latest find: the Escolar sashimi a delicate touch of their special sauce compliments the fish very well.
Maki Sushi is a charming little restaurant with a friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. The sushi and sashimi are both fresh and tasty. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful addition of a 'welcome' dish for guests. It's an excellent place to savor high-quality Japanese cuisine in a laid-back environment.
Service was good. Food has been good in the past but tonight my chicken teriyaki was over cooked and cold. It tasted like a bad reheat job from yesterday. I didn't finish the meal left upset. It will be awhile before I return Parking: There's usually a spit open

Decent place for a quick bite on a solo business trip. Parking: It was later in the evening. Mall doesn't seem busy so there should be plenty of parking any time of the day.
They went above and beyond to make sure we had excellent service! And the food was exquisitely delicious. I loved it here and I would happily come back anytime.
Good quality, fresh, and soft sashimi! Salmon carpaccio is a must try. Such unique combination and added more depth to the flavor. Absolutely love it!
Oh my gosh, it was so amazing! I absolutely love the sushi, sashimi, and noodles. It deserves a solid 10 stars! Wow!

Amazing light but filling cali roll. Shrimp was delicious I’m always a fan of a simple egg one too!!!
Food was good and prompt. Portions were large, but enjoyable. Service was attentive.
