We had a fantastic dining experience at the College Park, MD location! Our group of four enjoyed the delicious mushroom ravioli (the best ever), linguine with mushrooms (yum), and lasagna (smooth and delicious). However, what truly made our evening special was our server, Claudia Z! She was extremely attentive to our table and was so helpful whenever we had a question. Claudia greeted us personally when we arrived, making us feel like part of the family. Even though we were just visiting for a holiday, if we lived closer, eating at Mamma Lucia would be a weekly tradition. We are now proud members of Claudia Z's fan club!
Today was my first time trying this restaurant while I was in the area for work. Overall, it was a good experience. I had the food delivered to the Hampton Inn across the street. I ordered a 14-inch Greek pizza with anchovies and a side antipasto. The portion size of the antipasto was unexpectedly large, so I think there may have been a mix-up with my order. The pizza was good, not the best I've had but still enjoyable. The salad was really tasty. I placed my order on their website early on a Monday evening, and the food arrived in about 45 minutes, which I consider to be a great turnaround time.
We stopped for a meal before a Maryland basketball game and the restaurant we usually visit was closed, so we decided to try out Mamma Lucia. We were seated promptly and our server took our orders quickly. The server was friendly, patient, and attentive despite being the only one working. Although the bread with oil was a bit unusual, we ordered a margherita pizza which unfortunately was not anything to write home about. Overall, this review is mainly for the excellent service we received.
I stopped at this restaurant for a quick meal and I was impressed. I ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza, 1 slice of pepperoni pizza, and a side of hot wings. The cheese slice was delicious, although it could have had a bit more flavor. The hot wings could have been cooked a bit longer and were larger than usual, but they still tasted great. The service was excellent and there was plenty of parking available. The restaurant had a family-friendly atmosphere, which I really enjoyed.
