Mandola's Italian Kitchen

My husband and I stopped by Mandolas for a late lunch/early dinner. We were pleasantly surprised with the quick service, quality of food, and reasonable prices. We ordered the Monday special Chicken Capriciossa. It was excellent with a large pan browned chicken breast topped with a salad of arugula, cherry tomatoes, red onions and fresh mozzarella tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, served with fettuccine in a tomato cream sauce. The perfect light meal for a hot summer day in Texas. The highlight of our time at Mandolas was one of the managers, Burt, who stopped by our table inquiring about our meals. If you're the northwest/Cedar Park/Leander area and would like an affordable yet consistent Italian spot, this is the place for you. They have the bakery inside and a play area for children outside. Their service is quick as you order before you sit down and you always get bread with olive oil with your order. The inside has plenty of seating and it's decorated with many Italian touches. The food is very flavorful and they have great lunch specials.

Love this place. Good food, great seating arrangements, especially outside. Huge play area for kids to run around and playground equipment as well. Bar is basically wine and beer only. For food, you order, take a number, pick a table, and they bring bread and your food out to you. I just couldn't quite give the 5 stars simply due to the fact that the prices overall are higher than necessary for what you get.

This was our first visit. We stood in what we thought was the 'being seated ' line for 10 minutes before a customer told us it was seat yourself. The cashier Never told us that! He just stood at his register 3 ft away listening to our confusion.Once that was straightened we had some delicious Italian food!Going back for their desserts soon!Kid-friendliness: They have a playground outside for the kids
