I had the pulled pork platter and it came with two sides. I selected green beans and hush puppies. The pork was very good and the portion size was excellent. The green beans were also delicious. I thought I had never met a hush puppy I didn’t like, however these were not my favorite. The outside breading didn’t hit the spot because of the spices. The inside had onion that also threw off the overall taste for me. The one sauce provided on the table was a bit spicy (for me) and thin in consistency. Through this experience, I have realized that Nashville style BBQ is not my favorite. You will probably love it!
I wasn't really impressed by Martin's! I ordered the turkey with sides of broccoli salad and green beans. I enjoyed the broccoli salad and the turkey was okay, but I really didn't like the sauce that it came with or the vinegar-based sauce that was available.I also tried the brisket but it was unremarkable in my POV. I wished there were more types of sauces available that you could self serve with. I didn't like how you didn't really know what sauce you were going to be getting. I might just prefer Texas style bbq!
Was looking forward to trying this place based on reputation. Was pretty disappointed. The pulled pork sandwich was about what I would expect from a hospital cafeteria. My son had the brisket hamburger and said he liked it. The small taste of brisket I had was tasty. But these guys are supposed to be hog smoking experts. I did not see it. Sides we had were unimpressive. Mac and cheese was pretty good.
The other reviews did not lie. This place was awesome. We ate at the bar the service was excellent. The bartender was friendly knowledgeable on the food bar menu. The pulled pork sandwich was on point the mac n cheese was the best. The Orange Crush cocktail was very good too. Highly recommend them.
