Masaru Sushi - Réservation de table

My daughter found this restaurant on the internet while we were searching for a place to have dinner that was not French cuisine and not pub food or pizza. We were in town for just one night as we came to see the tall ships.We were surprised upon entering that the place is tiny and the two people working there are not Asian. Turns out they are the owners and have worked many years in another sushi establishment before striking out on their own.I have never had such wonderful sushi rolls in my life and will go back for sure next time I'm in Quebec city. They do not have a liquor permit nor can you bring your own. They do not have a menu, you choose the number of pieces, mention any allergies...

Very interesting concept - tiny, owner-run restaurant by two guys. Don't expect any details on the sushi, just tell them how many pieces and they will bring out a huge plate of fresh, delicious sushi pieces. Excellent prices, fresh food, but definitely not fancy. When they are done, they will close shop - whether or not it is within the posted hours.

Great sushi for a low price. Hidden in rue garneau is a small restaurant where the chief decides which sushi you get. You only choose the amount, but it's smug. Every sushi is a taste experience. I'll make a reservation before and open till early in the evening. We often eat sushi, but we were totally surprised here!

In this part of Quebec, there are many tourist traps. But Masaru is not one of them. The food here is fresh and very reasonably prized. The menu is simple: You just pick how many pieces you want. I've had lots of sushi before (including that in Tokyo), Masaru is among the better ones. Réservez une table maintenant

Don't look anymore you found! The best restaurant in the old quebec is this one! We're used to Japanese, but then it was so good. these tastes ... we would have liked to have more on our plates but we'll be back there before we left! more welcome was at the top!

Sushi was just ok, and service was terrible. They were good with the allergy, even had gluten free crab stick, but I bet there are better options in town.

The server was very knowledgeable about GF items and they can make about anything GF. Very safe and delicious to boot. Réservez une table maintenant

Lovely staff, aware of the limitations and reality of coeliac's disease. Food was really good as well!
